Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Manager, Launch and Growth Operations to lead a portfolio of strategic programs that grow and scale Thumbtack’s partnerships business. You will report to the Senior Manager of Partnership Operations and manage a globally distributed team across the U.S.

and the Philippines. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, program leadership, and operations, building growth initiatives, GTM strategies, and evolving systems to support partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategy and operations, business operations, program management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of people-management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead a team of operators.
• Experience translating ambiguous opportunities into clear strategies, operating plans, and measurable results.
• A track record of leading complex initiatives from concept through execution, including accountability when results fall short.
• Strong business judgment and analytical rigor, with the ability to assess performance, economics, and tradeoffs.
• Clear, influential communication skills, with the ability to create a compelling vision and align stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic programs driving growth and scalability of Thumbtack’s partnerships business.
• Build and scale new business capabilities from concept through launch and scale.
• Own measurable business outcomes by defining success measures and monitoring performance.
• Lead complex programs end-to-end, coordinating across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Legal, and external partners.
• Shape strategy through data and insights to evaluate opportunities and influence investments.
• Strengthen the Partner Operations foundation with improved tools, systems, and processes.
• Lead a globally distributed team across the U.S. and the Philippines to deliver independent ownership.
