Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Prior sales or customer service experience.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently and under deadlines.
• Occasional travel.
• College degree preferred.
• Industrial distribution or knowledge of PPE, Welding and Gases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to existing customers and welcome new opportunities, aiming for monthly touchpoints and a 40% time on the phone.
• Handle inbound calls with courteous, professional service to ensure a positive experience.
• Guide conversations through collaborative pricing while maintaining Airgas value and growth.
• Attend training to stay current on products, market insights, and procedures; engage in coaching.
• Use SAP to document quotes and orders; manage returns and credits with the Credit Department.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to build customer profiles, log data, and manage retention and growth.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers on portfolio planning and coaching; participate in team meetings.
