Job summary

Evans Transportation, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented Logistics Account Manager to manage day-to-day relationships with assigned shipper accounts. You will price freight, tender loads, and monitor performance to maximize gross margin and growth.

The role requires 2+ years in freight brokerage or 3PL, strong communication skills, and proficiency with a TMS and Excel. Experience with MercuryGate, DAT, or Greenscreens is a plus. This is an on-site position based in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in freight brokerage, 3PL or logistics account management.
• Experience quoting freight and managing customer pricing.
• Working knowledge of truckload freight (dry van, reefer, flatbed).
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in a TMS and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for an assigned book of shipper accounts.
• Price spot and contract freight quickly with margin in mind using market data.
• Build and tender loads in MercuryGate and track from pickup to delivery.
• Proactively communicate delays, exceptions, and accessorials to customers.
• Grow the book by identifying new lanes, modes, and volume; pursue RFPs and bids.
• Monitor revenue and margin by account and take action to improve underperforming lanes.
• Complete rates, accessorials, BOLs, and PODs accurately so loads invoice on time.
• Lead account reviews for customers and leadership.
• Partner with carrier sales, support, Managed Transportation, and finance.
