Job summary

Southside Bank in Austin, TX is seeking a Commercial Relationship Manager to develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking clients. You will market bank products, support lending activities, and grow the commercial customer base through network building.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the CLO, Commercial Lending Manager, or Market President and requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or business plus 3–5 years of direct lending or credit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or another applicable field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of direct lending or credit analyst experience with focus on commercial/business relationships.
• Extensive knowledge ofCommercial Banking products and services.
• Adequately trained with knowledge of credit and underwriting experience.
• Sales experience and familiar with loan processing and closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Marketing bank products and services.
• Manage customer deposits and check approvals.
• Attend weekly Director’s Loan Committee or monthly Asset/Liability Committee meetings when requested.
• Lend investments and working capital financing.
• Participate in Bank networking and public/civic events.
• Maintain confidentiality and positive relationships within the team and with customers.
• Support compliance with BSA and information security policies.
