Job summary

OneGroup in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Business Risk Specialist (outside sales) to grow our commercial insurance business. You will build and maintain a growing client roster, present tailored solutions, and manage a proactive sales cycle with cross-functional support from the agency and underwriting teams.

This role requires a Property/Casualty license, a track record of meeting quotas, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales
• Property/Casualty license required; maintain license through CE
• 3–5 years of proven successful sales experience in insurance or related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with clients professionally
• Proven ability to achieve established sales quotas
• Experience with CRM and agency management systems
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Generate new commercial insurance sales and cross-sell other OneGroup products
• Meet with clients regularly and review needs proactively
• Present insurance solutions with technical selling skills and product knowledge
• Sell consultatively based on client needs, not product availability
• Maintain prospect and pipeline in CRM; build a qualified leads database
• Record all sales activity, meetings, and follow-ups accurately
• Gather client information for underwriting, pricing, and account transitions
• Comply with company policies and participate in sales meetings and training
• Collaborate with support departments to maximize cross-marketing opportunities
