Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Meets state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Promote company values and teamwork among employees.
• Monitor the local competitive environment and communicate necessary adjustments to leadership.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to stock or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly updates, milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Resolve store operational customer concerns in leadership's absence.
• Identify and rectify hazards and maintain equipment functionality.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales and ensure freshness.
• Contribute to payroll and loss budget targets and training new staff.
• Supervise day-to-day team operations and escalate issues when needed.
