Job summary

Divcon is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support building automation projects from installation to turnover. You will coordinate field activities, maintain documents, and assist with budget and schedule tracking under supervision.

This role serves as a transition toward full Project Manager ownership, requiring strong organization, communication, and OSHA 30 readiness; travel to job sites will be frequent as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related field (BAS, MEP, HVAC preferred).
• Experience supporting project execution, documentation, or field coordination.
• Exposure to project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, or construction processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.
• If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be completed within the first week of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day execution of BAS/controls projects to align with designs, schedules, and customer requirements.
• Manage defined scopes of work or smaller projects under supervision.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestone tracking and updates.
