Job summary

Divcon is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of building automation projects from installation through turnover. You will assist with scheduling, documentation, and field coordination under guidance, with a path toward full PM responsibility.

The role involves coordinating field activities, maintaining records, and supporting budgeting and milestones while traveling to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related field.
• Experience supporting project execution, documentation, or field coordination.
• Exposure to project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, or construction processes.
• Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical systems.
• OSHA 30 certification required; training provided if not current.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day execution of BAS/controls projects with schedules and designs.
• Manage defined scopes of work under supervision.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with milestones.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain project documentation including contracts/drawings/specifications.
• Review submittals/drawing packages prior to field execution; maintain project records in DivPro.
• Coordinate subcontractors and Controls Technicians for assigned scopes; support commissioning progress.
• Track PO's, change orders, and project expenses; support monthly billing.
• Participate in meetings; communicate progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
