Job summary

Divcon in Dallas, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support building automation and controls projects from installation through turnover. You will help coordinate field activities, maintain documentation, and track budgets under guidance of a Project Manager.

The role offers hands-on training in a fast-growing data-center sector, with opportunities to advance toward full project ownership. Travel up to 95% is anticipated to support site visits and coordination.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related field.
• Experience supporting project execution, documentation, or field coordination.
• Exposure to project scheduling and subcontractor coordination preferred.
• Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical systems preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required or to be completed within first week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day execution of BAS/controls projects under supervision.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules and milestone tracking.
• Organize contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field technicians.
• Support budgeting and monthly billing processes.
• Assist with client communications and risk management.
