Job summary

Divcon Controls is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support building automation and controls projects from installation through commissioning. The role coordinates field activities, maintains project documentation, and tracks budgets and schedules under a Project Manager.

This position serves as a transition toward a full Project Manager role, with exposure to BAS, HVAC, and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or related field (BAS, MEP, HVAC preferred).
• Experience supporting project execution, documentation, or field coordination.
• Exposure to project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, or construction processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution Support: Coordinate day-to-day execution of BAS/controls projects under supervision and manage defined scopes of work.
• Documentation & Project Controls: Organize contracts, drawings, specifications, review submittals, and maintain records in DivPro.
• Field & Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors, support commissioning, monitor progress, and track changes and expenses.
• Communication & Stakeholder Support: Attend meetings, update on progress/risks, and manage client expectations.
