Job summary

Valley Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to drive branch growth by deepening existing customer relationships and acquiring new clients through proactive sales, lead management, and cross-selling. You will deliver exceptional service aligned with our mission and engage clients with professionalism and financial insight.

You will maintain strong knowledge of bank products, educate customers, and leverage online and mobile banking to meet financial needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service, retail sales or cash handling experience.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, business, finance, economics or related field.
• FIS/IBS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing customer relationships and acquire new ones through sales in branch.
• Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission.
• Maintain knowledge of bank products and educate customers while cross-selling.
• Present a professional demeanor to establish trust and assess customer needs.
• Meet with customers to conduct financial needs assessments and open accounts; discuss/sell loan products as appropriate.
• Promote online and mobile banking capabilities.
• Ensure service quality and coach branch staff as needed.
• Handle transactions efficiently with cash drawer and teller equipment.
• Serve as Vault Teller ensuring adequate branch cash levels.
