Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on site. You will guide patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on prescriptions, lifestyle, and preferences.

Responsibilities include fitting, measuring, dispensing, and using EHR/ALE for prescriptions. Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ,
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• ,
• Minimum of one year experience as an optician preferred.
• ,
• Experience with HIPAA compliance preferred.

• Strong organizational and communication skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system and maintain documentation.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and payment options to patients.
• Provide excellent customer service and educate patients on care and usage.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs; maintain equipment and workspace.
• Update patients on order status and resolve issues with management as needed.
