Job summary

TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods is seeking a Business Development Representative in New York to drive outbound prospecting and qualify high-potential opportunities in the foodservice and retail CPG space.

You will collaborate with Account Executives and marketers to refine discovery questions, nurture leads, and accelerate the sales cycle while maintaining clean Salesforce records for visibility and pipeline health.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in B2B sales development, inside sales, or outbound roles.
• Experience in fast-growing SaaS environments.
• Track record of exceeding activity or pipeline targets.
• Strong verbal and written communication for non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of BANT or similar qualification frameworks.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate net-new leads and build pipeline.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand business challenges and goals.
• Apply BANT to evaluate leads and hand off only sales-ready opportunities.
• Maintain understanding of TELUS Consumer Goods solution portfolio.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to refine outreach and questions.
• Maintain Salesforce records to track lead flow and pipeline visibility.
• Be a liaison between MQLs and SALs to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Contribute to campaign creation and measurement of results.
