Job summary

TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods invites a Business Development Representative to join the TELUS Consumer Goods sales team. You will be the first link in the sales pipeline, identifying, engaging, and qualifying opportunities for our SaaS and AI solutions in the foodservice and retail CPG space.

You will work with Account Executives and a Manager of Business Development to drive pipeline velocity, refine qualification processes, and ensure timely, high-quality handoffs.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in B2B sales development or outbound roles.
• Experience in fast-growing SaaS environments.
• Proven track record of exceeding activity or pipeline targets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound prospecting campaigns to generate net-new leads and build a pipeline in foodservice and retail CPG space.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand business challenges and goals.
• Apply BANT framework to evaluate leads and hand off sales-ready opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of TELUS Consumer Goods portfolio to represent value and differentiation.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and BDR Manager to refine discovery and outreach.
• Maintain Salesforce records through MQL to SAL handoffs for visibility and reporting.
• Build industry expertise and become a trusted resource for prospects and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in BDR campaign creation, including webinars and events, and report results.
