Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the store team in servicing customers and stepping in during the Store Manager's absence.

Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply and engage in hiring, coaching, and policy adherence to maintain high service standards. You will oversee day-to-day operations and mentoring of staff to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom and ensure team executes service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
• Assist in hiring by coordinating interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
• Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers are processed promptly.
• Manage outside purchase orders and ensure timely communication of shipments.
• Handle returns and refunds accurately and ensure proper invoicing and staging of merchandise.
• Ensure store opening/closing duties and security procedures are followed.
