Mattel is seeking a Sales Planning and Analytics Analyst, Growth Channel, based in El Segundo, CA. The role supports the Sales and Growth Channels’ Inventory and Planning teams with forecasting, order fulfillment and planning, reporting to the Sr.

Manager of Sales Planning and Analytics. The position emphasizes improving POS projections, forecast accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration with Customers Planners and Inventory Analysts.

Qualifications

• 3 years in retailer facing role or inventory management/demand planning preferred
• Analytical capability to identify demand trends, seasonality, promotional impact
• Experience analyzing large data sets and blending data for actionable reports
• Proficiency in Anaplan and cross-functional forecasting processes

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales trends to improve item-level POS projections and inventory
• Create sound POS projections based on seasonality, promotions, distribution, and price points
• Improve forecast accuracy by measuring metrics and sharing data with cross-functional teams
• Lead collaborative forecasting meetings with Customers Planners and Inventory Analysts
• Present data findings to reach consensus forecasts on a month-to-month basis
• Produce standard reports and ad hoc analyses for the GC Sales team
