Job summary

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a Sales Planning and Analytics Analyst, Growth Channel, based in El Segundo, CA. You will support the Sales team and Growth Channels’ Inventory and Planning teams with forecasting, order fulfillment and planning under the guidance of the Sr.

Manager, Sales Planning and Analytics. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to analyze demand trends, develop POS projections, and drive forecast accuracy through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 3 years in retailer facing role, inventory management or demand planning preferred (CPG a plus).
• Proven analytical capability and attention to detail in identifying demand trends and promotional impact.
• Extensive experience analyzing large data sets from multiple sources for actionable reports.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross-functional forecasting processes, specifically Anaplan.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present to all levels of the organization.
• Solid business judgment to interpret issues and recommend actions.
• Growth mindset: curious, learning, embracing challenges.
• Some travel may be required (0–15%).
• Power user in MS Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to analyze trends and improve item-level POS projections and order recommendations.
• Determine models for evaluating item-level forecasts considering brand history, inventory, and promotions.
• Create POS projections based on seasonality, promotions, distribution, and price.
• Improve forecast accuracy by measuring metrics and sharing data with cross-functional teams.
• Lead collaborative forecasting meetings with Customers Planners and Inventory Analysts to reach consensus forecasts.
• Provide standard reporting and ad hoc analysis to support GC Sales and other needs.
