Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Manager, Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts and partner with PLG Product Managers and Engineers across the customer journey. You will shape analytics strategy, operate at scale, and drive self‑service insights to support acquisition, activation, conversion, retention and expansion.

You’ll guide measurement plans, instrumentation, and dashboards, applying rigorous statistical thinking and strong communication to influence product decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product analytics or growth analytics within a software/SaaS context.
• Experience designing/measuring product experiments and A/B tests; understanding statistics and causal reasoning.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data across multiple sources.
• Experience with Python, R, or similar for statistical analysis or data prep.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt) is helpful.
• Ability to define meaningful metrics and measurement plans with product/engineering teams.
• Experience building dashboards and self-service analytics assets (Looker/Tableau/Amplitude).
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand PLG journey performance, friction points, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Build cross-functional relationships to drive self-service bookings and net customer growth.
• Define business questions, hypotheses, goals, and success metrics with PMs and engineers.
• Lead and develop growth analysts, set priorities, coach, and support career growth.
• Establish and evolve PLG funnel measurement across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.
• Analyze customer behavior with segmentation, cohorts, funnels, retention, and experiments.
• Design measurement plans for initiatives and experiments with guardrails and instrumentation.
• Improve product analytics quality via consistent metric definitions, event tracking, datasets, and dashboards.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, SQL/Python development, data modeling, and documentation.
