Job summary

Talented Medicals Solution seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy under a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individualized plans, assist with mobility and functional activities, and work across outpatient, inpatient, home health, and other settings to optimize patient wellness.

You will document progress, educate patients, and maintain safety and HIPAA compliance. Prior EMT? No, focus on PTA scope of practice and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license in state of practice.
• BLS certification per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Instruct and supervise therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Document treatment sessions and patient progress per facility policies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized rehabilitation environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education as assigned.
