Job summary

Talented Medicals Solution is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to administer physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role supports treatment plans across outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, and other clinical settings.

The PTA will assist with mobility, strength, balance, gait, and functional independence, while documenting progress and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing, rehab, home health, acute care, or similar settings preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and functional independence.
• Instruct and supervise patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Document treatment sessions and patient progress in accordance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment.
