Job summary

East West Bank in Seattle is seeking an Associate Banker to deliver high-quality customer service and support daily banking needs. You will assist with deposits, transfers, and account questions, and connect clients to Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Commercial teams for specialized services.

The role requires knowledge of digital banking tools, and you will educate customers on online and mobile banking while maintaining strong relationships and helping to grow the customer base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• 1 year of recent customer service and cash handling experience requested.
• 1 year teller / new account experience in banking preferred.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong customer service skills; assist customers with financial transactions such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan/credit card payments, wire transfers and foreign currency exchange.
• Document large deposits per Currency Transaction Reports.
• Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential loss to the bank.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and cultivate new relationships.
• Cross-sell and refer bank products to fit customers’ needs.
• Educate clients on using digital resources and technologies for online banking.
