Blackberry Farm, LLC. in Walland, TN, is seeking a Group Sales Manager to organize and book group business for Blackberry Farm, Blackberry Mountain, and High Hampton Hotels.

You will manage group proposals, contracts, deposits, and site visits while aligning with the group sales strategy. Ideal candidates have college degree or equivalent in group sales or hospitality experience, strong communication, and a proven ability to develop relationships with corporate, leisure, and wedding planners.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience in group sales or service preferred.
• Hospitality industry experience required.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Opera.
• Must be a leader in their current role and give examples of how they succeed ahead of their peers.

Responsibilities

• Act as a contact for corporate, leisure, and wedding group planners
• Coordinate all group details including room blocks, activities, meals, meetings, and special requests
• Oversee, approve, and create receipts for the preliminary deposits, payments, and postings made
• Communicate group requirements to all operational staff
• Solicit feedback from group contacts
• Sell group activities and special services
• Create and maintain group policy and information manuals
• Handle telephone solicitation and personal sales calls to potential customers and repeat group planners
• Conduct Site Visits by booking and confirming all departments involved with the stay, and conduct Site Visit tours
• Write and negotiate group proposals and contracts through the Opera system
• Responsible for generating contracts and mailing/emailing them out in a timely manner
• Promote Blackberry Farm, Blackberry Mountain, and High Hampton as a meeting, leisure, and wedding destination through trade shows and sales calls
• Attend trade shows and handle pre-show mailings and post-show follow-up when needed
• Generate leads for new group business
• Attend weekly Yield Meetings
• Run weekly group reports for Yield Meeting
• Produce reports and maintain tracking system for group prospective business, group marketing efforts, proposals, contract revenue, and ADR
• Think of ways to improve what we do, never sit still
