Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Manager, Group Implementation, to lead a team of Implementation Consultants and Specialists responsible for onboarding groups across ASO, Shared Advantage, and Fully Insured funding types. You will drive process improvements through simplification, automation, and AI to enhance quality and capacity.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/ GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Requires 4 years of prior people management experience with direct reports
• Requires SME level knowledge of large complex health insurance employer group implementations and cross-functional work with Sales/Account Management, Brokers and Consulting houses for Fully Insured groups; Self-Funded clients and Blue Shield of California processes experience is highly desired
• Requires ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences including sales, C-Suite, and large groups
• Requires demonstrated ability to influence others using data and market practices across cross-functional initiatives
• Demonstrated success improving team performance through process improvement, simplification, automation, and AI
• Requires expertise in Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn new tools; Salesforce and Tableau reporting experience is highly desired

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Implementation Consultants and Specialists to onboard groups with ASO, Shared Advantage, and Fully Insured funding types
• Enable, streamline, and continuously improve the implementation process through simplification, automation, and AI
• Collaborate across Sales/Account Management, Brokerages, and Consulting to align on customer outcomes
• Interact with senior leadership externally while representing Blue Shield of California
• Develop leaders, foster continuous learning, and grow the implementation function
