Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Manager, Group Implementation to lead a team of Implementation Consultants and Specialists responsible for onboarding groups across ASO, Shared Advantage, and Fully Insured funding types in Commercial Markets.

You will drive process simplification, automation, and AI-enabled improvements to ensure a high-quality onboarding experience that supports growth and retention. This role collaborates with Sales, Account Management, and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Requires 4 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports.
• Requires subject matter expert level knowledge of large complex health insurance employer group implementations and cross-functional work with Sales/Account Management and brokers.
• Requires ability to explain complex concepts to wide audiences including sales, C-Suite, and large group settings.
• Requires ability to influence others using data and market practices across large cross-functional initiatives.
• Requires success improving team performance through process improvement, simplification, automation, and AI.
• Requires expertise in Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn new tools; Salesforce/Tableau experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Implementation Consultants and Specialists driving onboarding of groups with multiple funding types.
• Collaborate across Sales, Account Management, and Consulting to align cross-functional processes.
• Drive simplification, automation, and AI-enabled improvements to enhance quality and capacity.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders to ensure successful rollouts.
