Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Manager, Group Implementation to lead a team of Implementation Consultants and Specialists responsible for onboarding groups with ASO, Shared Advantage, and Fully Insured funding types across Commercial Markets.

The role emphasizes cross-department alignment, customer-centric decision making, and leveraging data, automation, and AI to streamline processes and drive growth and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• 4 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports.
• Subject matter expert level knowledge of large complex health insurance employer group implementations and cross-functional work with Sales/Account Management, Brokers, and Consulting houses for Fully Insured groups; Self-Funded clients and Blue Shield of California processes experience is highly desired.
• Experience explaining complex concepts to a wide range of audiences including sales, C-Suite, and large group settings.
• Ability to influence others using data and market practices across cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Experience improving team performance through process improvement, simplification, automation, and AI to increase quality, efficiency, and capacity.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new tools; experience with Salesforce and Tableau for reporting is highly desired.
