Job summary

University of New Mexico seeks a Group Sales Representative to generate and manage event sales for the Student Union Building (SUB) in Albuquerque. You will cultivate relationships with existing customers, manage proposals and contracts, and coordinate with operations to ensure successful service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of related experience
• Equivalent substitutions allowed on a year-for-year basis for higher education

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to event sales inquiries and requests within the same business day.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and future bookings.
• Serves as primary contact for small groups (0-50 guests) and Chartered Student Organizations.
• Manages sales process and event details: proposals, contracts, event requirements, client correspondence.
• Coordinates logistics with operations and internal teams to meet client expectations.
• Maintains professionalism and delivers exceptional customer service throughout the sales and event experience.
• Gathers feedback on product quality, service, and event experience.
• Represents the University in a positive, professional manner in all interactions.
• Achieves individual sales goals and contributes to department revenue objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
