Job summary

Swickard Auto Group is seeking a senior Group Controller in Las Vegas to lead accounting for a multi-entity automotive group. You will own GAAP-compliant financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and internal controls, directing a 50+ member accounting team and partnering with the CFO to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience; 3+ years public accounting audit.
• CPA preferred but not required to be active.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Group Accounting including General Ledger, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Payroll; provide strategic direction to accounting team.
• Direct automotive accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and policy alignment.
• Maintain chart of accounts and ensure consistency with reporting requirements.
• Oversee month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and internal and external reporting.
• Manage payroll accounting and DMV adjustments; ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer reporting requirements and oversee annual audit with CFO.
• Develop internal controls and system improvements; mentor accounting staff.
