Job summary

Arizona Boardwalk is seeking a Senior Controller to lead accounting operations across its multi-entity organization. This on-site role reports to the Managing Partners and partners with senior leadership to support current operations, growth, and long-term financial sustainability.

The ideal candidate will analyze complex accounting data, strengthen controls, mentor teams, and drive opportunities that positively impact the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (Masters preferred).
• 10+ years in senior-level accounting roles.
• 5+ years of management experience in multi-divisional finance teams.
• Experience partnering with leadership, auditors, tax advisors.
• Cash handling, reconciliation, loss prevention in complex environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks or similar systems.
• Experience in hospitality/attractions or cash-intensive industries.
• Multi-entity or holding company experience.
• Experience supporting investor reporting and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for accounting across multiple entities and ensure accuracy, timeliness of financial records and reporting.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead and supervise all accounting functions for accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee compliance with accounting standards, taxes, payroll, and regulatory obligations.
• Oversee purchasing card programs for accurate recording and reporting of transactions.
• Support expansion initiatives through disciplined financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Assist in investor update reports and management presentations.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and alignment with growth.
• Coach and develop accounting teams for performance and engagement.
• Foster a collaborative finance team that partners with operations and leadership.
• Address performance issues and take appropriate actions.
