Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support crews in the field. Duties include clearing brush and trees from ground level, loading materials, and assisting with storm restoration tasks.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient site clean-up and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have physical ability to handle heavy limbs and operate tools.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Driver's license required if hired for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce safe practices on site.
• Clear brush and trees from right-of-way using hand tools and power saws.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush and debris; feed into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic for safety.
• Operate trucks and equipment; perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Travel for storm restoration work when required; maintain PPE and safety gear.
