Job summary

Arlington Properties in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to keep our communities clean, safe, and inviting. You’ll maintain lawns, walkways and common areas, helping create a welcoming first impression for residents. No prior maintenance or landscaping experience is required.

You must be able to read and write in English, work well in a team, and lift up to 100 lbs. We offer competitive pay, health/dental/vision, a 401(k) with match, PTO, and rent discounts.

Qualifications

• No prior maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs daily.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the grounds, walkways, stairways, and public areas clean and debris-free
• Assist with routine property maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Report repair and maintenance needs to the Service Manager
• Perform basic maintenance and help prepare units for new residents
• Maintain neat and organized work and storage areas
• Support the maintenance team with move-outs and turnovers
• Help with seasonal tasks such as snow or leaf removal
• Clean and maintain pool areas (where applicable)
• Adhere to all safety and company policies
