Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our Sawgrass, Gonzales, LA community. You will keep the grounds, walkways, and public areas clean and debris-free to create a welcoming, safe environment for residents.

Join a hands-on maintenance team focused on teamwork and resident satisfaction. No prior landscaping experience is required; training is provided along with competitive pay and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• No prior maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform tasks daily.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Keep grounds, walkways, stairways, and public areas clean and debris-free.
• Assist with routine property maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Report repair and maintenance needs to the Service Manager.
• Perform basic maintenance and help prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain neat and organized work and storage areas.
• Support the maintenance team with move-outs and turnovers.
• Help with seasonal tasks such as snow or leaf removal.
• Clean and maintain pool areas (where applicable).
• Adhere to all safety and company policies.
