Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper for our Baton Rouge communities. The role focuses on keeping grounds, walkways, and public areas clean and inviting, supporting maintenance tasks, and preparing units for new residents.

Qualifications

• No prior maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks daily.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the grounds, walkways, stairways, and public areas clean and debris-free
• Assist with routine property maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Report repair and maintenance needs to the Service Manager
• Perform basic maintenance and help prepare units for new residents
• Maintain neat and organized work and storage areas
• Support the maintenance team with move-outs and turnovers
• Help with seasonal tasks such as snow or leaf removal
• Clean and maintain pool areas (where applicable)
• Adhere to all safety and company policies
