Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper for our Allen, TX properties. You’ll maintain landscaping tools/equipment, keep exterior areas clean, and assist with make-readies and maintenance tasks.

Role requires a year of related experience, strong English communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on-call with occasional extended hours. EOE with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to perform all required tasks and adhere to safety standards.
• Ability to represent the company professionally.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours, including after-hours and weekends.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize & prioritize work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property appearance meets standards across all areas daily.
• Assist team with community functions and make-readies.
• Pick up litter and sweep/blow breezeways.
• Clean areas around dumpsters, mail room, pools, and laundry.
• Assist with pool maintenance and water plants.
• Maintain sprinkler system and apply insecticides, fertilizers, and herbicides as needed.
• Mow, weed, reseed, and prune lawns/trees/shrubs.
• Make drainage corrections and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Distribute notices and assist in maintenance tasks as directed.
