Job summary

Royal American Companies is seeking a Porter to maintain the grounds of a community property in a manufacturing or residential setting. The role operates under the Guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and adheres to OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Strong attendance and communication skills are essential to build relationships with residents and staff. The responsibilities include routine landscaping tasks, light maintenance, and possible after-hours standby for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Clearly communicate verbally, in writing and ability to read in English.
• Read, understand and follow instructions contained in handwritten/printed work orders and complete handwritten/typed reports.
• Read and understand manuals and safety instructions.
• Work under time constraints and complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Complete safety training as required by law.
• Water plants daily and tend to landscaping as directed.
• Perform lawn care: mow, trim, fertilize, rake and plant maintenance.
• Paint exteriors, clean grounds, and maintain lighting and fences as needed.
• Assist with custodial tasks and inventory control.
• Coordinate with supervisor and team; report unusual situations.
