Job summary

Bell Partners is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community grounds clean and well maintained under the direction of the Property or Maintenance Manager. This role emphasizes daily upkeep of the property, buildings, and grounds, including landscaping, gutters, and common areas.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of grounds keeping in a multi-family environment, plus 2+ years of landscaping experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of grounds keeping in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of landscaping experience.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and surrounding grounds.
• Keep a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings and breezeways.
• Clean out building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; mow lawns and apply fertilizer.
• Follow safety/OSHA requirements and perform basic tool maintenance.
• Assist maintenance team in vacant units or light work orders as needed.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
