Job summary

Bell Partners is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for property grounds and ensure clean, safe surroundings. Responsibilities include landscaping, debris removal, gutter cleaning, and basic maintenance under supervision. Experience in multi-family grounds work and a High School diploma is expected; HVAC/EPA certs may be required depending on site staffing.

The role emphasizes reliability, safety adherence, and ability to perform light maintenance duties across buildings and amenity areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in grounds keeping in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of experience in landscaping.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; trim, mow lawns; apply fertilizer and insecticides; and utilize pest control equipment.
• Follow safety/OSHA requirements and maintain tools/equipment.
• Clean gutters and remove trash; assist with pool maintenance if needed; shovel snow and spread salt for ice control.
• Clean vacated apartments as directed by the Maintenance Manager; keep common areas clean daily.
