Job summary

Bell Partners is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community grounds clean, landscaped, and well-maintained across properties. You will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to ensure facilities are safe and presentable.

The role involves outdoor upkeep, equipment maintenance, basic repairs, and occasional pool and snow-related duties, with emphasis on safety and timely task completion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in grounds keeping in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of experience in landscaping.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Keep a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings and common areas.
• Clean gutters of buildings.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; mow lawns; fertilize and apply insecticides; use pest control equipment.
• Follow procedures for maintenance of tools and equipment; repairs as necessary.
• Clean and remove trash.
• May perform pool maintenance duties.
• Shovel snow when necessary.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
