Job summary

Bell Partners is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep community grounds clean and well-maintained. You will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to preserve property aesthetics and safety.

Responsibilities include landscaping, debris removal, gutter cleaning, basic tool maintenance, and assisting with vacant units or light work orders. A valid high school diploma and 2+ years in groundskeeping are preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of grounds keeping experience in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of landscaping experience.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Keep a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings and breezeways.
• Clean gutters; plant and tend flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; mow lawns; apply fertilizer and insecticides.
• Follow procedures for maintenance of tools and equipment; lubricate, sharpen, replace parts and make simple repairs as needed.
• Clean and remove trash; potentially perform pool maintenance duties; shovel snow when necessary.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup; clean vacated apartments as directed.
• Ensure amenities are maintained: fitness facility, bathrooms, laundry, business center, offices, clubhouse.
• Assist maintenance team in vacant units or light work orders; can include painting and moving appliances.
• Follow all safety/OSHA requirements; maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
