Job summary

Bell Partners is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community grounds clean and maintained under the direction of the Community Manager. The role covers exterior maintenance, debris removal, and basic tool upkeep at our Jacksonville property.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in landscaping/grounds keeping in multi-family settings, a high school diploma or equivalent, and is comfortable performing seasonal tasks such as snow removal and pool duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of grounds keeping experience in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of landscaping experience.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Maintain a uniform landscaped look by picking up debris around buildings and breezeways.
• Clean out building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; trim, mow lawns; apply fertilizer and insecticides; use pest control equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance of tools and equipment (lubricating, sharpening, repairs).
• Clean and remove trash.
• May perform pool maintenance duties.
• Shovel snow when necessary.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
• Clean vacated apartments as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Clean common areas daily.
• Maintain amenities in a clean and orderly manner (fitness facility, bathrooms, laundry, business center, offices, clubhouse).
• Assist maintenance team in vacant units or with light work orders/punch lists (no on-call).
• Follow all safety/OSHA requirements.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
