Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Groundskeeper in Watervue, Lake Charles, LA to maintain grounds, amenities and curb appeal. You will support the service team and ensure safety standards are followed while performing routine maintenance and turnover tasks.

Responsibilities include helping with make-ready, operating golf carts on-property, and communicating with residents and supervisors. A valid driver’s license, physical stamina and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
• Work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties or attend training events.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings.
• Removes trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready; transfers trash to dumpster or storage area and cleans storage areas.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
• Changes all locks and maintains pool area gates per codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary.
• Reports hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Demonstrates customer service skills and responds to resident questions and complaints about maintenance services.
