Job summary

The HOW Group is seeking a Janitorial Porter / Grounds & Facilities Technician to be the face of cleanliness across our properties. You will ensure residents step into a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, working with Maintenance and Property Management to keep operations running smoothly and issues identified early.

You will contribute to curb appeal, safety compliance, and readying spaces for new residents, with seasonal tasks and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, or facilities maintenance.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75–150 lbs with team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect property to maintain curb appeal and clean common spaces.
• Sweep, rake, shovel, blow, and power-wash walkways and service areas.
• Manage dumpster areas and assist with trash-out at vacant units.
• Prepare apartments and common spaces for new residents.
• Identify safety hazards and report issues in line with policies.
• Seasonal tasks including snow/ice removal and on-call emergencies.
