Job summary

Allied Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for residents and staff. This role supports grounds, parking areas, and common facilities under supervision, with potential cross-training into housekeeping and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include floor care, window washing, trash removal, minor repairs, and outdoor upkeep. The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly; follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and facilities.
• Sweep, scrub, wax floors and clean carpets and surfaces.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as assigned.
• Empty trash and restock bathroom supplies as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor upkeep tasks.
• Maintain exterior areas: mow lawns, trim shrubs, remove debris, shovel snow.
• Assist in transporting small equipment between departments.
• Support housekeeping or maintenance staff to complete work orders.
