Job summary

Allied Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for residents and staff. Under supervision, you’ll care for interiors and exterior grounds, support housekeeping, and help complete work orders to uphold high property standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning common areas, floors, windows, and restrooms; outdoor maintenance like mowing and snow removal; and assisting other teams as needed. This is a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related training/experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions clearly.
• Basic math skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, lobbies, restrooms, and hallways.
• Sweep, scrub, wax floors, clean carpets, and windows as assigned.
• Empty trash and replace bathroom supplies; transport waste to disposal areas.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor upkeep tasks as needed.
• Maintain exterior areas: grass, shrubs, debris, and snow removal.
• Assist in transporting equipment between departments.
• Support housekeeping or maintenance teams to complete work orders.
• Attend regular meetings and trainings to stay updated.
