Job summary

Pike is seeking a Groundman to join our field team in Texas. The role supports Foreman in constructing, maintaining and repairing powerlines and related infrastructure. You will work outdoors in challenging conditions, lift heavy gear and be part of a safety-driven crew.

Expect travel to job sites, occasional out-of-state assignments, and on-call rotations. CDL readiness within 60 days, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours including weekends/holidays/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines with safety first.
• Assist in installing and repairing overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Perform heavy manual labor and handle tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and storms.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotation.
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
