Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to start a career in constructing and maintaining our power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform hands-on outdoor labor, installing and repairing overhead lines while prioritizing safety.

This role requires a valid driver's license (CDL within 60 days), willingness to travel, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and readiness for overtime and on-call outages. You will work in varying weather and locations across the region.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance of de-energized powerlines with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Perform rigorous physical labor and regularly lift heavy tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE and follow safety protocols.
