Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support overhead distribution projects across the nation. You will assist the crew with construction, repair and maintenance of power lines, while following strict safety protocols on outdoor work sites.

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license (CDL within 60 days is a plus), be willing to travel and lift up to 50 pounds. The role involves long hours, outages, and emergency callouts as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required; CDL within 60 days is encouraged.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.
• Will work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and physical labor is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Assist with installing and repairing overhead power lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.
• Support outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
