Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support our overhead distribution projects. You will work with a Foreman to build, repair and maintain power lines and related infrastructure, while prioritizing safety and efficiency in outdoor environments.

The position requires a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, willingness to travel, and physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in all weather conditions. Outages and emergency callouts may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Support installation and repair of overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Assist with maintenance of company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
