Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew in building, repairing, and maintaining infrastructure while reporting to the Foreman.

Ideal candidates are prepared for outdoor work in all weather, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and willing to travel and work non-traditional hours including outages and emergencies. Safety and PPE practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; CDL within 60 days of hire preferred.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work out of state.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing rigorous outdoor labor.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and on-call rotations.
• Adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage; awareness of insulated protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Support installation and repair of power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools; keep job sites orderly.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions; participate in outages, storms, emergencies.
• Comply with safety policies and PPE procedures; inspect PPE and rubber goods.
