Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to join our team building, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work with the crew under the Foreman to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires travel, physical labor, and a commitment to safety as outlined by our PPE protocols and job standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to advance within a nationwide utility contractor.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Participate in on-call rotation for outages and emergencies.
