Job summary

Pike Corporation is hiring a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. The role involves assisting the crew with building, repairing, and maintaining power lines and related hardware while reporting to the Foreman.

Candidates must be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days, travel as needed, lift up to 50 pounds, and work extended hours including weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required to operate company and personal vehicles.
• Willing to obtain CDL within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety as a priority.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind and storms.
• Be available for outages, emergencies, and on-call rotations; overtime may be required.
